Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage

Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD) is an award winning reflexology technique which focuses on stimulating the lymphatic reflexes on the feet. The aim is to cause an effect on the lymphatic system in the body by helping to move lymphatic fluid around the body. It is a unique sequence that has been researched and developed by Sally Kay during her work in cancer care and related lymphoedema and has been shown to benefit lymphoedema or swelling elsewhere in the body. It is a powerful yet gentle technique that can be used with very few restrictions, for instance, to support people who are at risk of developing swelling post operations.

RLD can be used to help with the following conditions:
Arthritis
Asthma
Premenstrual Tension
Muscular Tension
Eczema
Chronic Fatigue /ME
Fibromyalgia
Sinus problems
Headaches & Migraines
Cellulite
Pregnancy Swelling
Post-surgical Swelling
Post Cosmetic Surgery such as Liposuction or similar.

Many people are recommended Manual Lymph Drainage but this technique can not be applied to areas operated on due to pain or tenderness. RLD is performed on feet and works on the whole lymphatic system hence it can be applied without causing discomfort to areas that were operated on (with the exception of operations of the feet themselves).

It can be safely used for pregnancy-related swelling. Although I strongly recommend you consult your midwife to exclude pre-eclampsia or similar severe conditions.

As with any therapy, results of RLD may vary from person to person. Some people respond immediately and I can visibly record results of lessened swelling (via measuring tape or visually). Some may see and feel results later on.
